#Db legacy of goku 4 series#
This game can be picked up, and played even if you aren't into the series because the story is so easy to follow along on. The game is so well done by the story, that even if you aren't a fan you can get into it. I orginally played Legacy of Goku II when I hadn't even watched one episode of Dragonball Z. It isn't hard to play but just has enough challenge. This game unlike Legacy of Goku I has a good challenge level. They are very vibrant, and well done for a GBA game. Also the graphics were very nice in this game too. You can now become Super Saiyan, and each characters have their own form of attacks. You can play as more then one character, and the game mechanics are very well done. It is a complete turn around from Legacy of Goku I. Legacy of Goku II goes from the Trunks Saga all the way up to the end of the Cell Games Saga. Now for Legacy of Goku II this game was byfar outstanding. If you are a huge D ragonball Z fan then you will want to play it probably. Overall I would have to say this is a game that isn't worth playing unless you are curious. But the game mechinaics for this game just lack in the way of mobility, and attacks.
Asfar as the graphics go though I can't complain for a 2002 GBA game they were very well done. From the beginning of the game once you had to fight monsters I kept on dying at wolves. The game in my opinion was very difficult. The game is extremely short, and can be beaten in one sitting. It follows the Anime, and goes up to the end of the Freiza Saga. Legacy of Goku I takes place from the beginning of Dragonball Z where you start at Master Roshis house, and then fight Raditz. I rented Legacy of Goku about 3 to 4yrs ago, and same with Legacy of Goku II (during the Dragonball Z popular times). Battery backup allows players to save at will. Each task Goku completes brings him one step closer to rescuing his son.and saving the world. As in the cartoon, Goku is able to take flight, however, the length of time he can stay airborne is limited and players will need to collect red, green, or brown orbs in order to replenish his Flight Meter and once again enable his flight ability. Two bars in the upper-left portion of the screen represent his health and Ki. Senzu beans for example, can be collected and used to rejuvenate Goku's health when the need arises. Inventory and Quest menus enable players to keep track of their current assignment as well as the items currently on hand. Ki Blast, Solar Flare, and the powerful Kamehameha! can all be utilized in the game's real-time battles. When in battle, Goku is able to punch the enemy or unleash one of three different Ki attacks, the more powerful of which, in true RPG fashion, are only earned deep into the quest. These eventually translate into additional combat abilities, allowing Goku to harness a handful of melee and Ki powers, in addition to enabling him to move faster. Often, they'll request his help and by completing tasks and defeating enemies, Goku will earn experience points. The smattering of RPG elements manifest themselves further into the quest as Goku meets and converses with more than 75 characters. Accompanied by his best friend Piccolo, Goku will journey throughout the Dragon Ball Z world, from Earth to the Home for Infinite Losers and everywhere in between. Ever the doting father, Goku, sets off to rescue his son, a quest that will ultimately decide the fate of the universe. The storyline remains faithful to the cartoon series and begins shortly after Goku's son, Gohan, is kidnapped by a man named Raditz, who claims to be Goku's brother. Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku is an action-adventure title based upon the Dragon Ball Z anime.
